New genomics lab started in January 2018 in the Department of Biological Sciences at Texas Tech University.
We focus on fundamental questions in ecology, evolution, and conservation biology. Our methods include fieldwork and labwork, but most of our time is spent analyzing genomics data using computational biology approaches.
We are now recruiting graduate students (MS or PhD) for Fall 2019 who are interested in one or more of several topics:
- Avian genome evolution
- Biodiversity genomics of Ethiopian highland birds
- Ant / bacteria co-evolution and genomics
